Now Glaser Blue Available in a 20 Round Value Box!
The #12 shot is capped with a Blue ball. It produces immediate energy
dispersal, creating abrupt stopping power. It is optimally designed for
warmer climates and lighter clothing.
The larger #6 shot is capped with a Silver ball. It will typically give an additional two inches
soft tissue penetration, controlled energy release and target accuracy
with a self-defense handgun. This load is designed for colder climates and

I'm imprsesed. You've really raised the bar with that.

Have tested both. The Silver has a much different jacket though, having large serrations and a wider body to help the fragmentation process. Not sure if they did this with other calibers but the original 38 Special Silver had a tough time fragmenting since the core is comprised of larger shot. I still opt for the Blue, it's been around for 36 years, never fails to fragment, and has a street record (a jumpy record, just remember a lot of the "failure" stories are a result of poor shot placement). Put the rounds in the good stuff and you'll be just fine.
